what version of heat?
is the "HEAT Business Rule Monitor" service running on the server? This service has to use a Local Administration Account. Sometimes if the account is reset or locked the service will fail.
If the service is not running, try running it and see if it fails. You can also check the log files in c:\program files\heat\ Log files

It's Heat Version 7.0
I've done some playing around and it looks like the service isn't running on the server properly. I'll get that working and try see if that'll fix it up. |

Hi,
There is Service Pack 1 available for HEAT 7.0 Business Rules if you havent already installed it. This addresses many of the problems it use to experience with that version.
Also check your log files for errors.
Good luck Ben www.tribalflight.com |

Hi Michelle,
How did you go with your automated emails? Did the service pack fix it? Doesnt heat offer support for their clients?????
It has been almost a year since you had that problem and i would be interested in how you are going with the product now, as i am trying to get feedback from a whole variety of Helpdesk software users.
If you are still having problems with your software, may i suggest HelpMaster Pro as an alternative. The only aspect of your work that you mentioned is the automated email, and HelpMaster Pro offers a powerful Email Manager system for automated responses to incoming email, plus the ability to add content to existing jobs inside your helpdesk software. All considered, the HelpMaster Pro suite dramatically increases workflow and reliability.
Have a look at the web site, www.prd-software.com.au, and evaluate it for yourself. I think you will be interested in its flexability and functionality.
Or send me an email, and i would love to talk about the product with you.
Regards
Scott K
