HDI certifications are globally recognized standards verifying that technical support professionals have demonstrated the expected skills and knowledge for their role. HDI certifications have always distinguished individuals within their profession. To maintain the value certification provides in this rapidly changing industry, HDI is introducing HDI Continuing Certification, a new set of requirements and process to maintain HDI certification.
What does this mean? Effective 1 January 2013, all new HDI Support Center Director, HDI Support Center Manager, HDI Desktop Support Manager, and HDI Support Center Team Lead certifications will be valid for three years from the date that the individual earned the certification. Individuals that earned these certifications prior to 1 January 2013 are not required to demonstrate continuing learning and are considered certified for life. After 31 December 2015 those certifications will be reported as pre-2013 so as to acknowledge the certification and the program under which it was earned. These individuals are encouraged to enroll in the continuing certification program so that they can be recognized under the new program.
HDI Customer Service Representative, HDI Support Center Analyst, and HDI Desktop Support Technician certifications will continue to be recognized for life
