Cancellation & Transfer Policy

Public and Onsite Course Cancellation & Transfer Policy

  • Full payment of course fees must be received no less than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled course date you have nominated to hold. Any booking received less than thirty (30) days prior to the nominated course commencement date must be accompanied by a written Purchase Order or credit card payment authority to secure the booking.
  • Clients cancelling their registration with less than four weeks’ notice will not be entitled to a refund.
  • No shows on public courses will pay full course rates.
  • Postponement of On-site Courses: Notice received within twenty one (21) to thirty (30) days of the scheduled course commencement date will incur a fee equal to 25% of the invoice. Notice received within seven (7) to twenty one (21) days will incur a fee equal to 50% fo the invoice. Only one postponement per invoice allowed.
  • Transfers between scheduled public courses will be accepted if requested no less than four weeks prior to the course start date. Any transfer of registration received within four weeks of the course start date will incur a $220 transfer administration fee.
  • Attendee name changes will be accepted up to the day prior to the course start date.
  • In rare instances, a public course may be rescheduled or cancelled. HDAA will provide as much notice as possible. In this event, the client may receive a full refund, or take a credit toward another HDAA course. HDAA cannot be held responsible for penalties resulting from travel arrangements.
  • In the event that we do have to cancel a training course at the last minute, the HDAA administration team will contact you via phone call to either reschedule you for an alternate course or provide you with a full refund of the course price.

HDAA reserves the right to postpone/cancel a training course or an event at any time, at which, paying participants will be entitled to one of the following:

  • To participate at a revised date specified by HDAA; or
  • A refund or
  • A credit to that amount for future HDAA training.

Online Exam, Course, Extension & Re-take Policy

HDI course exams are available on-line and for students attending public or on-site training, are released once a request is made by the student to HDAA via email info@hdaa.com.au or by phone. HDI exams must be requested within 12 months of the public or on-site course start date. No responsibility will be taken by HDAA for a change in course competencies or exam format if the exam is requested more than 3 months after the course start date.

  • Full payment of fees must be received before the course/exam will be released.
  • Once registered for an online course/exam, you have 12 weeks to access the course/exam.
  • A 28 day extension is available for online course/exams for a fee of $60.50
  • HDI Certification Exam retakes can be purchased for a fee of $115.50
  • HDI Practice exams are available on certain courses for a fee of $90.20

Workshops & Events

Substitution:

HDAA recognises that there are times when unforeseen incidents prevent attendees from participating in an event after registering.

In light of this, a company or attendee may make a substitution at any time up to the commencement of the event, provided HDAA is notified of the substitution.
If an attendee notifies HDAA of an inability to attend, and is unable to nominate a substitute then the following cancellation policy applies.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Up to 2 weeks before the workshop or event, a full refund is available or alternately a credit note can be used for another HDAA workshop or event;
  • Within 2 weeks of the workshop or event a credit note will be issued to be used for another HDAA workshop or event; or
  • In the last 5 working days before the workshop or event no refund or credit can be made.
    (A credit note will be valid for 12 months from the date of issue).

Cancelled or Postponed HDAA Workshop & Events:

HDAA reserves the right to postpone/cancel a training course or an event at any time, at which, paying participants will be entitled to one of the following:
