Stakeholder analysis is performed to log the characteristics of each of the improvement initiative’s stakeholders and identify the key people who need to be won over. Stakeholder planning is then used to build the support needed for success. A stakeholder worksheet will help you describe the specific characteristics of each stakeholder group.
The Stakeholder Analysis Worksheet is a tool designed to systematically analyze and document the characteristics of each stakeholder involved in an improvement initiative. It aims to identify the level of interest, power/influence, expectations, and any pertinent observations or comments. Stakeholder planning, informed by this analysis, helps in building the necessary support for the success of the initiative.
How to Use the Worksheet:
- Identify Stakeholders:
- List both individual stakeholders and stakeholder groups who are impacted by or have an interest in the improvement initiative.
- Assess Interest/Involvement:
- Evaluate and document how the initiative impacts each stakeholder. Consider their level of interest and involvement in the initiative.
- Evaluate Power/Influence/Impact:
- Assess the level of power, influence, or impact each stakeholder or group has on the initiative. Categorize as high, medium, or low.
- Determine Expectations:
- Clearly define the expectations of each stakeholder. What do they expect from the initiative, and what’s in it for them?
- Record Observations/Comments:
- Document any additional observations or comments about each stakeholder. This can include specific concerns, potential opportunities, or other relevant notes.
